2020 Competitive Level Football

Joliet Steelers is a youth Football and Cheer Organization for grade levels K through 8th.  Our goal is to teach the skills, fundamentals, discipline and good sportsmanship for our players to grow and excel as athletes. The welfare and safety of our players comes first.  We emphasize the importance of school and maintaining the balance between scholastic and athletic endeavors.  We strive to provide a safe environment for our kids and families who are part of our community.  

We are the proud league member of Chicagoland Pop Warner.  

Our Registration Fee is $350 per participant.  We only require $100 down, and the remaining balance can be broken up into payments.  We are offering a $50 discount if you register for Spring & Fall Football if paid in full by March 1st.

Mandatory Fundraiser

Each participant is required to participant in the Joliet Steelers Fundraiser.  Participants are required to sell 10 raffle tickets, which will be sold for $10 per ticket.  Raffle tickets will be distributed once your balance has been paid in full.  Tickets must be turned in by September 1st.  There will no longer be a buyout option available.  The winners of the raffle will be announced during the Homecoming Game.

ALL FEES ARE TO BE PAID BY JUNE ST - NO EXCEPTIONS.  

Football Equipment

Helmet, Shoulder Pads,  Game Pants and Game Socks.  Jr. Pee Wee Levels and up will receive two Jerseys.  The Jersey and socks are yours to keep at the end of the season.  Helmet & Shoulder Pads are to be returned at the end of the season.

Parents are responsible to purchase, Practice Jersey, Practice Pants, Mouth Guard, Chin Strap, Football Cleats, Football Girdle & Knee Pads..

Uniform Policy

In order for your child to have their choice of Jersey number and their name on the back to their Jersey, your registration fees must be paid in full by Equipment/Uniform Sizing on June 1st.  If your fees are not paid by June 1st, your child will not receive their choice of jersey number and their name will not be on the back of the Jersey. There will also be no guarantee that you will have your child's Jersey for the 1st Game, Team Pictures, Certification or any Jamboree's the organization participates in.  The reason we are implementing this policy this year is due to the amount of time if takes for Jersey's to be produced which can run anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.  Therefore if your registration fees are not paid in full by June 1st, you will not be part of the initial Jersey order. 

Practices & Games

Practice will begin on August 1st, Monday - Friday from 6pm to 8pm until Labor Day.  After Labor Day we will begin practicing three days a week, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 6pm to 8pm.  We will practice at Joliet Catholic High School. Our Home Games will be held at Joliet West High School on Sunday and away games will be either Saturday or Sunday.  The 2020 Pop Warner Schedule will not be released until mid to late August.

We will no longer implement the Family Activity Fee.  Each family is required to volunteer 5 hours of their time throughout the season.  This can be done at Home Games ONLY or any Steeler sponsored event.  If you do not participate in volunteering your 5 hours per family, your child will not be allowed to participate in the game.

2020 Instructional Tiny Cheer

There will be no refunds after April 1, 2020 

Our Registration Fee is $350 for the Instructional Level which is the Tiny Mite.  We require a $100 deposit, and the remaining balance can be broken up into payments.  

Cheer will include, Skirt, Shell, Midriff, Spanks, (1) Hair bow for Competition & Games. The only items returned at the end of the season are the Skirt & Shell. The Spirit Registration will include a Cheer Jacket for new Participants. 

Parents are responsible to purchase Cheer Shoes which will only be used for Competitions. The girls are able to wear their choice of white sneakers for Games. Loss of any item can be replaced at the expense of the Parent.

The Tiny-Mite is non-competitive. They will perform in two cheer competitions which will  be the Princess Gala and Chicagoland Pop Warner Cheer Conference.

Our Registration Fee is $375.  We only require $100 down, and the remaining balance can be broken up into payments.  If you register by March 31st 2020, we are offering a $25 Early Bird Discount!

Cheer will include, Skirt, Shell, Midriff, Spanks, (1) Hair bow for Competition & Games. The only items returned at the end of the season are the Skirt & Shell. The Spirit Registration will include a Cheer Jacket for new Participants.

The competitive level of cheer will perform in two cheer competitions which are the Chicagoland Pop Warner Cheer Conference and Mid-America Regional's.  We will also compete for Nationals in Florida.
